Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
This policy is published for residents of Washington State under the My Health My Data Act, and applies alongside our Privacy Policy. Nevada residents have comparable rights under SB 370.
This document is being finalised with counsel before launch. Where it differs from the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy governs until this notice is removed.
What consumer health data we collect
Meals and foods you log, calories and macronutrients, body metrics such as weight, height, age and sex, activity level, weight and nutrition goals, allergies and dietary restrictions you enter, food photos you submit, and — with your permission — step count, active energy and workouts read from Apple Health or Health Connect.
Why we collect it
To provide the features you asked for: calculating your daily targets, estimating the nutrition of what you log, generating the advice you request, and showing your history and progress. We do not use consumer health data for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Where it comes from
Directly from you, from photos you submit, and from Apple Health or Health Connect if you grant that permission. We do not buy health data about you from anyone.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy, acting on our instructions, and — only if you switch the relevant sharing category on — the friends and groups you choose inside the app. We never sell consumer health data.
We do not sell your health data
CalBiss does not sell consumer health data, and has never done so. No valid authorisation to sell will be requested because no sale occurs.
Your rights
You may request confirmation of whether we process your consumer health data, a list of the third parties it has been shared with, and its deletion. Account deletion inside the app deletes this data directly and immediately; you can also write to us. We respond within the timeframe the law requires, and you may appeal a refusal.
How long we keep it
Until you delete the meal, the entry, or your account. Deleting your account removes your health and nutrition data; only purchase records are retained, for the seven years tax law requires.
