Everything you need to hit your targets

Start with a 7-day free trial.

  • Unlimited AI photo scans

Photograph any meal and CalBiss identifies each food and estimates its nutrition. If it misreads something, you correct it in a tap and the totals recalculate instantly.

  • Personal AI nutrition advice

A daily coach that reads what you actually logged — your meals, what is left of today's calories and macros, and the time of day — not a generic template. It suggests a dinner that fits your remaining calories, builds a full meal plan, or turns whatever is in your fridge into a recipe.

  • Full statistics & progress insights

Track weekly, 30, 60 and 90-day trends for calories, macros, steps and active energy. See daily averages against your goal so you know whether the week actually went the way it felt.

  • Groups, friends & challenges

Follow friends, join a group of four to eight people, and compare progress on a weekly leaderboard. You choose exactly what is shared — calories, steps, macros or nothing at all.

How does CalBiss count calories from a photo?

Three steps, about ten seconds.

  1. Photograph your plate

Open the camera and take one picture. No weighing, no searching a database, no typing a food name.

  2. AI identifies every food

CalBiss detects each item, estimates its portion in grams, and calculates calories, protein, carbs and fat. Anything it gets wrong you fix by describing the real food.

  3. Your day updates itself

The meal lands in your log and your remaining calories and macros update. Steps and workouts from Apple Health or Health Connect adjust the budget as you move.

Built for the way people actually eat

A photo is the fastest path, but it is never the only one.

  • Barcode scanner

Scan a packaged product and CalBiss checks Open Food Facts, the USDA FoodData Central database and its own community catalogue. Variable-weight store barcodes are handled too.

  • Nutrition label OCR

If a barcode is not in any database, photograph the nutrition panel instead and CalBiss reads the values straight off the label.

  • Manual entry & saved meals

Type any food and get its nutrition, or bookmark the meals you eat every week and re-log them in one tap.

  • Targets that fit you

CalBiss calculates your BMR and TDEE from your age, height, weight, gender and activity level, then sets calorie and macro goals for losing, maintaining or gaining.

  • Apple Health & Health Connect

Steps, active energy and workouts sync automatically and feed an adjustable activity credit into your daily calorie budget.

  • Home-screen widgets

Check what is left in your day without opening the app. Lock-screen, home-screen and Android Glance widgets, all localized.

  • Shareable weekly recaps

Nine card designs turn your week into something worth posting — podium, rings, leaderboard, spotlight and more.

AI nutrition coach

Cook with what you already have

Photograph the inside of your fridge or list a few ingredients, and CalBiss builds a recipe that fits the calories and protein you have left for the day. It also writes full meal plans and a short daily briefing based on what you actually logged.

You're 340 kcal under target with protein already met. A light dinner keeps the streak.

Friends & groups

The part that keeps you going

Tracking alone is easy to quit. CalBiss lets you follow friends, react to their meals, join a group and compete on a weekly leaderboard. Groups of four to eight tend to stay the most active.

Every category is opt-in. Calories, steps, burned energy, macros and meal photos are each shared only if you switch them on.

Frequently asked questions

Short answers to what people ask before downloading.

How accurate is AI calorie counting from a photo?

CalBiss estimates portion size and nutrition from a single image, so it is an estimate rather than a laboratory measurement. Accuracy is highest for clearly visible, separated foods and lowest for mixed dishes, sauces and anything hidden under something else. That is why every detected item is editable: you can correct a label, adjust a portion, or add a food the scan missed, and the totals recalculate immediately.

How much does CalBiss cost?

CalBiss Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold monthly or yearly through the App Store, and it starts with a 7-day free trial. The yearly plan costs less per month than the monthly one. You can cancel any time in your App Store settings, at least 24 hours before the trial or period ends.

Is there a free version?

The 7-day trial gives you the full app with daily limits on AI photo scans and AI advice. Manual logging, the barcode scanner and your history remain available throughout.

What languages does CalBiss support?

CalBiss is fully translated into English, Spanish, Hebrew, Russian and Arabic, including the home-screen widgets and push notifications. Hebrew and Arabic are laid out right-to-left throughout the app.

Is CalBiss available on Android?

CalBiss is launching on iOS first. The Android app is built on the same codebase and Health Connect support is already implemented, so it will follow. Sign up for launch updates and we will tell you when it is out.

Does CalBiss work with Apple Health?

Yes. CalBiss reads steps, active energy and workouts from Apple Health on iOS and Health Connect on Android, then adds an adjustable share of that activity to your daily calorie budget. The default credit is 50 percent, which you can change or switch off.

Can I use CalBiss without an internet connection?

Not yet. CalBiss saves your meals on our servers as you log them, so it needs a connection — when you are offline the app tells you, and you can save again once you reconnect. AI photo analysis and barcode lookups need a connection for the same reason.

What happens to your food photos?

CalBiss asks for your explicit consent before any photo is analysed. A photo is sent for analysis only when you tap to scan it — never in the background and never from your camera roll. Your photos and nutrition data are never used for advertising, and deleting your account removes them.

Can I withdraw AI consent later?

Yes. You can withdraw AI consent in Settings and keep using CalBiss — manual logging and the barcode scanner work without AI.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Account deletion is in Settings inside the app and removes your profile, meals, photos and social activity. Purchase and subscription records are kept for seven years because tax law requires it; everything else goes.

Is CalBiss suitable if I have a medical condition?

CalBiss is a wellness app, not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice or treat any condition. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating, talk to a healthcare professional before changing how you eat. CalBiss includes a setting that reduces weight and calorie alerts.

What is the minimum age to use CalBiss?

CalBiss is for people aged 16 and over.
